Stressed?? Read on....

I observed two various kinds of stress today, as I had learnt somewhere:
1. Positive
2. Negative

One was where one of the people in my team, trying to rub me in  the wrong way said : seems we have run out of ideas!
That is when, I, in my usual, "not-getting-pissed" style, took it up as a challenge and came up with something new, AND ORIGINAL.

My colleague, on the other side, has had a sudden exposure to a lot of new responsibilities and is under a lot of stress, however, day by day, the gentleman seems to be losing it. Saying yes to everything that comes your way, I believe, is not the way of doing things, however, saying yes to things you love, even if you have to take a detour, is awesome :)

Think about it, we all go through it, everyday, in the lure of a raise, an extra off, going home early on our loved ones' birthdays.
Well, well, well, did I just initiate a thinking process here, oops :D

Brands I have worked on

Punjab Grill by Jiggs Kalra

My first ever brand! I had no clue as to what I was doing for  the first two months when I had quit the sales position I had and was offered a position in marketing, considering my creative skills.

Whoa!
Me, creative?
Okay, well, Okay! :)

Starting from editing press releases to coming up with new brand taglines and copies, editing menu descriptions, while keeping in mind the niche clientele of the brand and the association with one of the best gourmets ever, Mr. Jiggs Kalra.

Below are some creatives for Punjab Grill, copies by me:

Flap Ad, Delhi Times, December 2012

Times Food Guide, 2012
Pollo Campero:
A Latin-American Chicken chain, which is now in India.
I wasn't a part of the initial marketing team for Pollo, however, there was a later stage where I got involved into the brand and honestly, the journey was exciting.
Moving from a Fine-Dining brand where I had to be all sophisticated and "Classy", i finally got to widen my horizon, to go beyond just print media to things like radio advertising too, things I just used to think of ;)

The team, after a lot of brain storming, decided upon the theme of "Thinking Out of the  Bucket"
Now, Pollo was kinda competition to another Fried Chicken Major,if not in Delhi, in Pune, it was.
The theme of "Think Outside the Bucket" could've been a pot-shot at the competitor, simply because they sell their chicken in buckets :D

More on its way...;)

Bumper Tags

So I was thinking of something funny to put up behind my car (my dad's car actually) ;)
Well, dad didn't let me do that, but you can not stop a person from thinking, can you? ;)
It's like this:
"Think you're in heaven and you'll be there"
So below were some ideas that came up, feel free to use them :)

THIS CAR DOESN'T BECOME A ROBOT, BUT STILL, KEEP DISTANCE

NO, I AM NOT MOVING, YOU'RE DRUNK :P

AVOID BUMPING INTO ME, I AM A BAD A** !!!

Well, that's all I could think of, but my dad won't let me put any of those ( for obvious reasons) :(

Well , more stuff later.
Ta-Da.

Inspirators

Everyday, we come across at-least 3 people.
Yes sir, a minimum of three people unless you've trapped yourself in your own house, without anyone else.
These people can at times lead to brilliant advertising ideas!
Things a person says or does can actually lead to the most innovative concepts!

For instance:
Two of my friends, one a little witty and the other one a marketing guy were sitting in a bar.
The advertising guy was thinking of a new campaign idea for a chicken-selling chain  when the other one said, hey why don't you do something NON-VEGETARIAN (PERVERTED) for a non-vegetarian restaurant.

And there you go,
The campaign was 'Tell a non-veg. joke and win vouchers", where obviously non veg. jokes meant jokes to do with Chickens and Hens; a great eyeball and ear drum catcher!

I, casually keep listening to things people around me say and it's not just people around me, its people I look at and one of the most interesting people I see is myself!

How, I, in a day, react differently to different situations and how I observe the things around myself and relate them to my own life. It really helps!

Naughty Ideas ;)

I work as a copy-writer.
Below is a peep into one of my days' work:
Brand Name: Pollo Campero
Theme: Think out of the bucket.

Food is the way to a man's heart

So, one fine day, I was in a mall, waiting for my friend who made me wait for good one hour, well, yes, there can be bad consequences of being punctual. So after a long day of work, plus the wait for my friend, plus the constant nagging by the security guard for sitting on the floor near the balcony, i slogged myself to the food court.
Here is my experience:

Lonely in a shopping mall
Staring in empty spaces as people take a stroll
It's Christmas time, the place is lighted up
Lights, mistletoe, candy filled cups

I'm spaced out, waiting for my task to start
got nothing to do so I sit down on near the wall of art
And I analyze how my day was long
As I hear in the background a John Lennon song

I get up and start to walk towards the cinema
And the sight of a poster lands me in a dilemma
So I rush to the food court with a smile on my face
And my walk turns into a sprint but I'm not amazed.

I enter and see myself in a land of food
The fragrance of it all elevates my mood
The Pizzas, the Pastas, the burgers and coleslaw
The noodles, fried chicken, I'm struck by awe!!

I pull out my wallet and mindlessly pay
Greedily filling up as if I won't live another day
I'm too full to think of the dessert till I hear
My brain say even in a full bus, there's space for the driver

So I head like a little child to the bakery
Confused I was, but I asked for a chocolate pastry
And now as I m filled, content and can't ask for more
But food is the way to a man's heart, I'm sure.
